Randle P. McMurphy
Jason Donovan came into our lives in the late 80s as Scott Robinson in the hit Australian series, Neighbours.
Throughout the 80s and early 90s he had several chart hits and his album Ten Good Reasons was the best-selling UK album of 1989. His hits included “Too May Broken Hearts”, “Especially For You” (with Kylie Minogue), “Sealed With A Kiss”, “When You Come Back to Me”,
“Everyday”, “Nothing Can Divide Us” and of course, “Any Dream Will Do’.
Since then, he has rarely been away from stage or screen. Jason’s record-breaking run in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat in the early 90s preceded his performance as Frank N Furter in the 25th Anniversary Production of The Rocky Horror Show, then Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Priscilla Queen of the Desert, The Sound of Music, Annie Get Your Gun, The King’s Speech, Million Dollar Quartet and Jeff Wayne’s The War of The Worlds. In December 2019 he was called home to Australia to appear as the charismatic and cunning celebrity lawyer, Billy Flynn in Chicago.
In autumn 2021, Jason undertook his first solo music concert in five years with his Even More Good Reasons tour which he performed whilst also filming the BBC hit show Not Going Out. Jason’s recent TV credits also include ITV’s Dial M for Middlesbrough and Dave’s Meet the Richardsons. In 2019 and 2021, Jason spent the summer months at the London Palladium as Pharoah in Joseph and His Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat followed by a nationwide UK Tour.
Over the summers of 2022 and 2023 he completed two consecutive runs as the Teen Angel in Grease in the West End. In the spring of 2022, Jason performed “Any Dream Will Do” outside the gates of Buckingham Palace as part of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations. Earlier that year, along with Kylie Minogue, he rejoined the cast of Neighbours one final time as Scott Robinson. In 2023, Jason donned his fishnets and heels to reprise his role as Frank N Furter for the 50th Anniversary of the production in Australia performing for audiences in both Sydney and Melbourne to critical acclaim. Starting February 2025, Jason will embark on his next solo music tour, the DOIN’ FINE tour which will span locations across the UK and Ireland.
Nurse Ratched
One of Australia’s most respected actors, Nadine Garner’s career has spanned film, television and theatre for more than 30 years.
Nadine recently performed on stage in Nassim Soleimanpour’s ECHO (EVERY COLD-HEARTED OXYGEN), the Spiritworks production of PRIDE AND PREJUDICE IN CONCERT, Melbourne Theatre Company’s THE ALMIGHTY SOMETIMES and Clovelly Fox Productions’ ELEGIES: A SONG CYCLE, the latter earning Nadine a nomination for Outstanding Artist in a Leading Role at the 2025 Green Room Awards. She will next be seen in Kieran Wheeler’s debut feature WHO NEEDS LOVE SONGS and the next chapter of the Binge mystery thriller series HIGH COUNTRY: WHAT LIES BENEATH with Leah Purcell.

Chief Bromden
Jeremy Proulx has been proud Indigenous storyteller, arts-educator and multi-disciplined artist (actor/ writer/dancer/filmmaker) for over 27 years. He is of both Anishnabek (Ojibwe) and Haudenosaunee (Oneida) descent, originally from the Indigenous community of Neyaashiinigmiing in southern Ontario, Canada, simply translated in the Anishnaabemowin language as “point of land surrounded on three sides by water.” He has called the city of Tkarón:to/Toronto his home for the past 20 years.
Jeremy’s long and extraordinary career as an actor and storyteller onstage has taken him all across Canada, USA and Europe, including Brazil, United Kingdom, Poland, Macedonia, Italy, and Greece. He holds university degrees in both filmmaking from York University’s world-renowned Fine Arts Program (Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film & Video) as well as theatre arts from the Centre for Indigenous Theatre’s (CIT) full-time conservatory program. When not performing, Jeremy’s other passion is working with Indigenous youth to help guide and inspire them to tell their own unique stories through the fine arts.

Dr. Spivey
Harvey Almond is a British-Maltese actor who classically trained at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in London. Most recently, he completed filming a recurring role in a major upcoming Netflix series, which is yet to be announced.
Harvey is perhaps best known for portraying Prince Ernest in Netflix’s Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, introducing him to audiences worldwide as part of the hugely successful Bridgerton universe. He also played Tom in Amazon MGM Studios’ My Fault: London and reprises the role in Your Fault: London, continuing the adaptation of Mercedes Ron’s internationally bestselling Culpables series.
His additional screen credits include the Lionsgate thriller Cannibal Cabin and the award-winning short film Josh & Jacob, which received recognition at Cannes and multiple international advertising and film awards.
Harvey began rehearsals for One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest immediately after wrapping his latest television project. Having long admired the play and its enduring relevance, he is thrilled to be exploring its rich characters, complex relationships and powerful themes of individuality, freedom and institutional control. The work’s humanity, humour and emotional depth continue to resonate with audiences decades after its premiere, and Harvey is delighted to be part of bringing this iconic story to the stage.

Nurse Flynn / Sandra
Most recently starring as Bombalurina in Cats The Musical, (Xroads Live Entertainment), Mia has proven herself as one of Australia’s most sought after, leading triple threat artists. Over the last decade Mia has performed as part of the original Australian cast of Disney’s Aladdin, (Disney Theatrical Productions), Ruth in Thoroughly Modern Millie (The Production Company), Dance Captain in Ragtime (The Production Company), Kathy and Violet U/S in 9 to 5 (Crossroads Live), Marcie in Cruel Intentions (David Venn Enterprises), Rhonda U/S in The Tina Turner the Musical, (TEG Dainty) and Kat in One Day In September (Perryman Theatre Company). Most notably to date, Mia played the supporting role of Lorraine in the hit musical Jersey Boys (New Theatricals) to outstanding reviews. Splitting her time between stage and screen, Mia choreographed and starred in the fashion label Ergonaut’s campaign launch and choreographed Australian band Cosmos Midnight’s music video – ‘Mind Off’.
Candy Starr
Darcey is a Melbourne based performer who first showed an interested in Theatre after playing Sharon Percy as part of the child cast in ‘Billy Elliot the Musical’ (dir. Stephen Daldry) in 2008.
They went on to train at Patrick Studio’s Australia where they obtained a Diploma in Music Theatre in 2014 and later studied at The Victorian College of the Arts, graduating in 2019 with a BFA in Music Theatre and as the proud recipient of the Ron and Margaret Dobell Foundation Award that year.
In 2024 they studied Meisner technique at William Esper Studios in New York City. Their stage credits include; Mob Leader in the recent ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’ Australian Tour (dir. Timothy Sheader), Columbia in ‘The Rocky Horror Show’s’ 50th Anniversary Tour (dir. Christopher Luscombe), Sally Simpson in Victorian Opera’s ‘Tommy’ (dir. Roger Hodgman) and Dance Captain of ‘Cruel Intentions the 90’s Musical’ Australian Tour (dir. Alister Smith).
With this production of “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest” Darcey is interested to explore hope as a form of rebellion. Darcey extends their thanks to their friends, family and agent, Emma Raciti.
Cheswick
Since graduating from QUT, Gyton has forged a remarkable career in film, theatre and television. In theatre Gyton performed as ‘Ron Weasley’ in the critically acclaimed Australian premiere of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. He performed in the Vass Theatre Productions’ season of Hand to God simultaneously playing a boy and puppet to rave reviews and starred in Opera Australia’s production of South Pacific in the role of ‘Luther Bilis’. Other theatre credits include Domestic Bliss for the Old Fitzroy Theatre, Vincent in Brixton for the Ensemble Theatre, The Removalist for La Boite Theatre, The Blue Roof for Jigsaw Theatre Company and Vertigo and The Virginia for Tamarama Rock Surfers. He performed the title role in La Boite’s production of Ruben Guthrie, where he received a Matilda Award Nomination for Best Male Actor in a Leading Role.
His feature film credits include The Dressmaker, Don’t Tell, The Reef, Beneath Hill 60, Balibo, Prime Mover and The Nut Farm. He will soon be seen in the features Subversion and Runner. Gyton is renowned for his television performances and has appeared in House Husbands (Series 1-4) as series regular ‘Kane’, Fat Tony & Co, Cliffy, 30 Seconds, We Were Tomorrow, The Blake Mysteries: A New Beginning, Two Blue Lines, True Story with Hamish and Andy, Rescue Special Ops, East West 101, All Saints, Bond, Drunk History and Underbelly, where Gyton’s portrayal of Carl Williams garnered critical acclaim with an AFI Award for Best Actor and a Silver Logie for Most Outstanding Actor. He later reprised the role of Carl Williams in the mini-series Informer 3838. He was recently seen in the second series of The Traitors and the drama Human Error. Gyton can currently be seen in Hallmark’s streaming feature A Melbourne Match.

Martini
George is one of Australia’s most loved comedy, music and television stars who rose to fame in the hugely popular stage show Wogs Out of Work (which he co-produced and co-created). He is best known for his role as DJ in The Flying Doctors and Memo in Acropolis Now from 1989 to1992.
Recent stage credits include the role of Frank Manero Snr in Saturday Night Fever (Drew Anthony Creative) and Life of Byron (which he co-wrote and starred in). Theatre highlights include the role of Stretch in Oh, What a Night (for which he was nominated for a Green Roon Award), Goran in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Twelve Angry Men and The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui. Numerous screen credits include Alex & Eve, Big Mamma’s Boy, Thunderstruck, Fat Pizza, Housos the Movie, Closer and Closer Apart and Joey. Television credits include the first series of Underbelly, It’s a Date (ABC), Offspring and sketch comedy series, Fancy Boy (ABCTV).
Billy Bibbit
Daniel is known for originating the title role of “Drizzle Boy” in Queensland Theatre Company’s premiere production of Drizzle Boy in 2023, a role that he reprised for a national tour in 2024. Equally recognisable in his work in the lead role of Christopher in The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime at Sydney’s Belvoir Theatre; a performance that won him Best Newcomer at the 2024 Sydney Theatre Awards. In 2026 he has returned Belvoir to perform an adaptation of Olga Tokarczuk’s novel Drive Your Plow Over the Bones of the Dead.
A proud neurodivergent actor, Daniel is a recent graduate from the Victorian College of the Arts with a Bachelor in Fine Arts in Music Theatre. Since immigrating to Perth from Bournemouth (England), Daniel studied a Certificate IV in Music Theatre at WAAPA in 2016 before relocating in 2017 to Melbourne to commence his BFA training at the VCA.
Onscreen he can be seen in the role of Albert Barton for ABC’s Goolagong, and in season three of ABC’s The Newsreader, and in SBS’ Miss Sultanah.
Whilst training, his credits include “Willy”/”Harry” (Understudy) in Flora: The Red Menace (dir. Jason Langley), “Tommy”/Ensemble in A Chorus Line (dir. Tyran Parke), “Miss Turnstiles MC”/ Ensemble in On The Town (dir. Adam Mitchell) and was also a featured soloist for the Arts Centre Melbourne’s Morning Melodies at Hamer Hall in 2018 (dir. Margot Fenley) and 2019 (dir. Jayde Kirchert).
Following his graduation Daniel has also appeared as “Mr.McQueen” in Urinetown (dir. Mark Taylor) at Melbourne’s premiere independent theatre venue, Chapel Off Chapel and also as “Oliver” in As You Like It (dir. Jennifer Sarah Dean) with the Melbourne Shakespeare Company. He has also narrated a number of audiobooks including the popular My Nanna Is A Ninja.
Daniel is the grateful recipient of the 2018 Cassidy Bequest Scholarship for excellence in Music Theatre at the VCA and is also an active MEAA diversity and disability Equity member.
Aide Williams
Jack Scott recently starred in three seasons of the popular Seven Network series RFDS, which was awarded Best Drama Program at the 2024 Logies Awards and a Bronze Tower Award at the 2026 New York Festivals TV & Film Awards. He will next be seen in the upcoming Netflix film THE MOSQUITO BOWL with Nicholas Galitzine, Bill Skarsgård and Ray Nicholson, the highly anticipated sequel SPACEBALLS: THE NEW ONE and Michael Schwarz’s upcoming feature THE ONLY ONE.
Since graduating from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts in 2017, Jack has appeared in the ABC series LADIES IN BLACK, Celeste Barber’s Netflix series WELLMANIA, the Peacock/Stan series JOE VS. CAROLE, the International Emmy Kids Award winning ABC series HARDBALL, ABC/HBO Max series FRAYED, feature film HEARTS AND BONES, AFTRS Webseries NANNY ACADEMY and ABC series’ BACK IN VERY SMALL BUSINESS, ROSEHAVEN and TONIGHTLY WITH TOM BALLARD. He also co-wrote and starred in the short film THE GAY, which premiered at the 2024 Sydney Film Festival.
On stage, Jack has starred in WE ARE GODS for NIDA, NECROPHILLIA for JackRabbit Theatre, COOL POOL PARTY and HAMLET for Ban Shakespeare, and THE CHERRY ORCHARD and A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM for Belvoir.
Jack has a strong comedy background performing in numerous improv shows with Improv Theatre Sydney, including at the Sydney Comedy Festival, the Sydney Fringe Comedy Festival and the Melbourne International Comedy.
Aide Warren
Deep is an emerging multilingual actor, singer, voice artist, and a graduate of the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA). His theatre credits include Pompey/Thyreus in Cleopatra & Antony with Melbourne Shakespeare Company, Kas in Never Have I Ever with Black Swan State Theatre Company, King Leontes in The Winter’s Tale, Hugh Darcy in Harp in the South, and Bobby Burgess in Beautiful Burnout. On screen, he has appeared in the television series Reckless (BBC Studios Australia). He is the recipient of the SDTAWA Best Poetry Performance Award and the Vice Chancellor’s Shakespeare Award for Most Outstanding Actor. He also writes and produces his own work.

Roger Hodgman grew up in Tasmania and has had a distinguished career directing around the world, and, especially, throughout Australia.
He has directed over 150 plays, musicals and operas and many hours of TV Drama.
He has taught in three Drama Schools – East 15 (London, where he was Head of Acting , Playhouse Acting School Vancouver (Director) and the VCA, Melbourne (Dean).
He has been Artistic Director of the Vancouver Playhouse (1978-1982) and Melbourne Theatre Company (12 years from 1987)
A highlight in Vancouver was working closely with Tennessee Williams on two new plays including a free adaptation of The Seagull which he commissioned. Williams was quoted in the press as saying he was “the best man with a script I have ever worked with”

Set Design
Richard is an award-winning designer and educator. His body of work spans theatre, ballet, opera, musical theatre, and film, across Australia and internationally.
Richard is currently Head of Design and Production at the Victorian College of the Arts. He has held positions as Head of Design at The Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, Head of Production at The Victorian College of the Arts and Head of Design at The Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts.
Richard’s designs for opera include: for Opera Australia, IDOMENEO (with Victorian Opera, toured to San Francisco Opera), RIGOLETTO, DON PASQUALE, THE MAGIC FLUTE and DIE FLEDERMAUS (with West Australian Opera); For West Australian Opera, PIRATES OF PENZANCE; for Victorian Opera, LA RONDINE, THE VISITORS, PARSIFAL, CUNNING LITTLE VIXEN; NIXON IN CHINA, THE MAGIC FLUTE, BAROQUE TRIPLE BILL, THE MARRIAGE OF FIGARO; THE CORRONATION OF POPPEA and DON GIOVANNI; for Opera Queensland, RUDDIGORE; and for New Zealand Opera, Seattle Opera, and Philadelphia Opera RIGOLETTO. Lighting Design
Niklas Pajanti is an award-winning lighting designer whose practice ranges across contemporary art forms and performance styles including theatre, dance, opera, circus, musical theatre, comedy, events, exhibitions and public spaces.
He designed lighting for the Helpmann Award winning production of ANGELS IN AMERICA as well as THE WILD DUCK for Belvoir which toured to the Vienna Festival, Holland Festival and The Barbican London; and lighting RUPERT for Melbourne Theatre Centre which went on to commercial seasons at Sydney’s Theatre Royal and The Kennedy Center, Washington DC.

Niklas has designed exhibition and event lighting for a range of leading Australian and International companies and spaces including: Melbourne Museum, Commonwealth Games Arts Festival, Museum of Modern Art (New York), Walt Disney Animation Research Library, State Library of Victoria, Melbourne’s Science Gallery, Australian Centre for the Moving Image, Victoria and Albert Museum (London), and federation square.
Niklas has won 3 Green Room Awards and received 11 nominations across all categories. He has also been nominated for Helpmann Awards, Sydney Theatre Awards and APDG Awards for his lighting design.
Costume Design
Ella is a Production and Costume Designer for theatre, film and live performance. Informed by her beginnings in theatre, Ella’s work has evolved through contrived spaces, searching for the extraordinary found in the everyday.
Ella’s work as Costume Designer include Drive Your Plow Over The Bones Of The Dead, August: Osage County, Tell Me I’m Here, The Weekend and Orlando (Belvoir St Theatre), Coriolanus (Bell Shakespeare) and Rent The Musical (National Tour with LP Productions). Her costumes often examine character with an urban melancholy. Productions where Ella has worked as both Set and Costume Designer include Never Closer (fortyfive downstairs), The Comeuppance (Red Stitch), Dubbo Championship Wrestling (The Hayes), LOVE (Darlinghurst Theatre Company), First Love Is The Revolution and Wherever She Wanders (Griffin Theatre Company).
In film, Ella worked in a partnership Production Design on ‘Alphabet Lane’ which had its cinema release earlier this year. Ella worked as the Costume and Production Designer for CATSinAM, The Congress of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Nurses and Midwives, for In Our Own Right; recounting Black Australian Nurses’ and Midwives Stories. In the commercial sector, as Production Designer, her clients include Visit Victoria, Google, Woolworths, Officeworks and James Squire. Ella is a graduate from the National Institute of Dramatic Art with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Design for Performance).

Kohan van Sambeeck is a Melbourne-based musician, writer and theatre maker. He graduated with First Class Honours in Music from WAAPA, majoring in classical piano before moving to Melbourne to pursue creative opportunities. Kohan wrote the music and lyrics for One Day In September (Perryman Theatre Company), a new Australian work that centres around the world of AFL. Kohan’s commercial theatre credits include Pride & Prejudice *Sort Of (Woodward Productions), Reg Livermore’s Ned Kelly (Vic Opera), The Book of Mormon (Jones Theatrical), Grease (Crossroads Live), Annie (Crossroads Live), Groundhog Day (GWB Entertainment), Chicago (Crossroads Live), Sunset Boulevard, (Opera Australia), Beauty and the Beast (Disney Theatrical), Miss Saigon (Opera Australia), …Tick Tick Boom! Playwright
Dale Wasserman (1914-2008) wrote for theater, television and film for more than 50 years and is best known for the musical Man of La Mancha, a multiple Tony Award winner.
He also wrote the stage play One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, based on Ken Kesey’s novel, which has won several Tony Awards. Both shows continue to be produced nationally and internationally with an estimated 300 productions a year.
In January 1979, Dale met Martha Nelly Garza, who became his wife, loyal partner and loving companion. More than once, Dale commented that Martha Nelly was the best thing that ever happened to him (aside from MOLM) and that it was their 30-year partnership that had been the greatest contribution to extending his life and his talents to age 94. Together, they worked on numerous musicals and several new plays which can be found on his website, dalewasserman.com.
On December 21, 2008, Dale Wasserman, with his loving wife at his side, passed away peacefully of natural causes at his home in Paradise Valley, Arizona. Martha N. Wasserman is now the sole Owner/Licensor of Dale’s intellectual properties and spends her life promoting his works all over the world.
